There is no doubt that the world has fallen back in love with the Art Deco movement, thanks to the modern re-imagination of The Great Gatsby. This invite that we designed, an Art Deco black laser cut pocket, includes a double sided card on champagne shimmer paper, accompanied by an ornate envelope, laser cut from black paper. The intricate envelope encompasses all the small graphic designs and details from the Art Deco movement, that we love, and that have made their way back into various design mediums. Since the movie came out in 2013, the retro Art Deco look has had an influence on almost everything – from themed parties, weddings,  clothing and bag design, right through to food packaging.

Art Deco makes us nostalgic for the 1920’s. The Art Deco inspired invites are not only beautiful in their craft, but also for their ability to take us back in time to an era that not many of us have ever experienced or are from. The sophisticated black and gold are an interesting change to the conventional wedding invite.
