Our extra virgin olive oil is sourced from a family farm in Prince Albert. We use this exceptional oil in all our Artisan Soaps, Lip Mask and Lotions.

The star ingredient in the SCHOONHUID collection is the Prickly Pear Seed Oil harvested in Bloemfontein. A oil that helps  to moisturise and soften wrinkles, stimulate new cell growth, calm inflammation, help restore elasticity, and brighten skin, Prickly Pear Seed Oil is extremely rich in vitamins E and K, essential fatty acids and antioxidants. One of our favourite oils to formulate with and is included in our flagship collection, Groot Karoo, in all the bath and body products.

Living in Graaff Reinet in the Karoo gives SCHOONHUID access to ample amounts of Aloe Vera that grows wild on surrounding farms. We harvest the leaves ourselves to include the extracted gel in our Artisan soup collection. We use a locally sourced supplier for the Aloe Vera extracts that we use in our shampoo, lotions and hand wash.

Agave syrup is another ingredient we love to add to our products and we mostly try to source the syrup from small producers in and around the Karoo when it’s available.

All our raw ingredients are sourced locally, some with an international origin, but our reputable suppliers ensure the highest quality in all the raw ingredients.
